About Us

Ed Donohoe established Donohoe Town and Country in 1992.  With a family background in Auctioneering, Ed is at his most comfortable negotiating sales. Building a strong team has been the backbone to the business and Ed is delighted to have colleagues working with him for many years, working together seamlessly to achieve optimal results.

We also provide excellent residential letting and management services business which is headed by Nuala Hurley who has being with the firm for 15 years. Meet our team

Ed Donohoe

One could say auctioneering is in the blood as Ed Donohoe comes from the renowned Donohoe Auctioneering Family from Goresbridge, which specialises in bloodstock and antiques. Ed has always worked in the family business but also set up his own Real Estate agency in Bagenalstown in 1993. He further developed the business in 2000 when he opened up a second office in Kilkenny city, which is now the main office.

Qualifications: He qualified in Limerick Institute of Technology in 1990 with a Diploma in Valuation, Surveyor & Estate Agency. Ed Donohoe is accredited with being a member of the Chartered Surveyors of Ireland, SCSI (formerly known as MAIVI).

Tidbit: Ed is married to Siobhan, father to Ted and Hannah and is hugely involved in any sport to do with horses and rugby. Actually his wife would say he is hugely involved in watching and supporting ANY SPORT FULL STOP!

Nuala Hurley

Nuala is Ed’s right hand woman! She joined Donohoe Town & Country in 2003 as the Office Manager, became a fully qualified Auctioneer in 2007 and is highly recognised for her experience and efficiency in Sales and Rentals for Donohoe Town and Country.

Qualifications: She qualified in 2007 as an Auctioneer through Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers. Nuala is fully licensed in Residential Sales and Lettings and is Regulated & Licensed by the Property Services Regulatory Authority. Working for the past 16 years in the property industry has afforded Nuala vast experience in sales and predominately rentals in recent times thus providing her expertise to all our clients.

Tidbit: Nuala is married to Brendan, mum to three lively girls – like herself. She enjoys the odd day off from Donohoe Town & Country!

Louise McKillen

Louise, who hails from Thomastown, has over 18 years of experience in the property market and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role having worked in the Dublin and Kildare areas previously. Louise prides herself on being a very honest, straight talking, and a trustworthy negotiator.

Jennifer Bay

Office Manager and New Homes Division

Jennifer joined the team at Donohoe Town and Country in 2019, bringing with her a wealth of experience, having worked for Arthur Cox, Lisney and Ballygallon Stud.  Jennifer runs a tight ship and prides herself on providing excellent customer service in a professional but friendly manner. 

Her role has expanded to include New Homes where Jennifer has specialised in marketing, project and sales management for Bishop’s Lough.  This is an exciting development and one that she is very proud to be involved with.
